I wish to do scientific research

Conducting research in accordance with the rules of use and visitation of the Vilnius Castles State Cultural Reserve, approved by the order No. ĮV-145 of the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania on April 14, 2005, scientific research in the reserve can be carried out following scientific research programs coordinated with the directorate.

According to the provisions of the Law on Immovable Cultural Heritage Protection, a researcher who has obtained permission to conduct archaeological research must inform the directorate before the start of archaeological research in the Vilnius Castles Reserve. The researcher must also agree with the directorate on the conditions for conducting archaeological research in accordance with the procedure established in Article 14, Paragraph 3, Point 3 of the Law on Immovable Cultural Heritage Protection.

According to the technical regulation STR 1.04.02: 2011 "Engineering Geological and Geotechnical Investigations,"  individuals wishing to conduct engineering geological and geotechnical investigations in the Vilnius Castles Reserve must also obtain approval from the directorate.

Approvals for scientific and other research are provided remotely by submitting the necessary documents to the directorate through the E. Delivery information system. Approvals are granted or refused no later than within 20 working days.
