Identity Data Protection

 

Ilona Šlepikienė has been appointed as the Data Protection Officer for the State Cultural Reserve Directorate of Vilnius Castles.

The main duty of the Data Protection Officer is to facilitate compliance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation), encouraging a culture of data protection within the directorate and assisting in implementing key elements of the General Data Protection Regulation, such as data processing principles, data subjects' rights, adapted and standardized data protection, as well as maintaining records of data processing activities, ensuring data processing security, and reporting data security breaches.

Individuals (data subjects) can contact the Data Protection Officer with any questions related to the processing of their personal data and exercising their rights under the General Data Protection Regulation. The Data Protection Officer must ensure confidentiality related to the performance of their tasks, in accordance with the laws of the European Union or the member state.
